NORTH BELLPORT, NY - Part of Sunrise Highway was shut down for several hours Friday morning after a tractor trailer fire was reported in North Bellport.
Suffolk County Police Highway Patrol responded to a 911 call west of Exit 57 at about 5:35 a.m.
A tractor trailer was headed eastbound on the highway when it got a flat tire. The back of the tractor trailer then caught fire.

When officers arrived they found the vehicle fully engulfed and debris on the highway.
Bellport Fire Department responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.

All eastbound lanes were shut down at Exit 56 for several hours.
