Patchogue-Medford School Budget Approved, 3 Trustees Elected

The budget includes a 2.56 percent increase in the school tax levy.

PATCHOGUE-MEDFORD, NY — Residents in the Patchogue-Medford School District have approved a 2021-21 school budget by a margin of 1,371 to 653.

In addition, the proposition to re-allocate Capital Funds was approved by a vote of 1,638 to 379.

The $198.9 million budget is a 1.93 percent increase over the current year and includes a 2.56 percent increase in the school tax levy, within the state's tax cap.

Marc Negrin, Jennifer Krieger, and Bernadette Smithwon all won seats on the school board.
