Patchogue-Medford Schools Closed Thursday
In anticipation of the upcoming storm, the district closed all schools Wednesday night.
PATCHOGUE-MEDFORD, NY — The first snow storm of the season is also bringing the first snow days of the season.
The storm began hitting Long Island Wednesday afternoon and is expected to go on into Thursday, bringing anywhere from 3 to 10 inches of snow to certain areas.
In response, the Patchogue-Medford School District canceled all classes Wednesday night.

All schools will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 17. According to the school district, all in-school activities are canceled and students who are supposed to attend school remotely do not need to log on for their classes.
All evening meetings which are to occur remotely are to be held as scheduled.
