Patchogue Theatre Honors Class Of 2020 With Display Of Names

The local venue will be showing the names of all the upcoming seniors on the side of the marquee to honor the graduating seniors.

PATCHOGUE, NY — As Long Island enters the third month of the coronavirus pandemic, many important events are continuing to be effected. Thanks to COVID-19, the fate of graduation for the senior class of 2020 has not yet been determined. However, many in the community are still finding ways to help honor the students celebrate this milestone.

Locally, the local Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts recently decided to honor the class Patchogue-Medford High School seniors by putting the names of every 2020 graduate in lights on the marquee through June. While the theatre remains closed to the public, they are still working to plan to reopen in September. In the meantime, residents who pass by the venue on 71 E Main Street will get the chance to see all the students name go by on the side of the marquee.
