Patchogue's Saint Liberata Italian Feast Will Go On This Year

The annual Italian heritage celebration will be combined with Sundays In The Street this Sunday.

PATCHOGUE, NY — Although coronavirus has put a damper on many Patchogue Village events, the Italian feast of Saint Liberata has found a way to go on. The annual parade and feast, historically organized by Italian-American families who settled in Patchogue, will be combined with the Sundays In The Street weekly downtown event.

The Greater Patchogue Cultural Heritage Committee is hosting the family friendly event. The Italian Feast of Saint Liberata will take place from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. A rain date of September is on the schedule.

Patchogue restaurants that are participating are: Locale, That Meetball Place, Village Idiot Pub, Aroogas, Virgola, The Tap Room, Local Burger, Donatina and Del Fiore Pizzeria. The restaurant will create an Italian-American inspired dish for diners at the festival.
