Police Seek Man Who Robbed a Yaphank Shell Gas Station and Fled on Green ATV

In August a Yaphank gas station was robbed by a man wearing a helmet and a black coat and gloves who escaped on a green ATV with light rims.

In August a Yaphank Shell gas station was robbed by an unidentified man who fled on a dark green ATV. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the suspect, who was wearing a helmet and a black jacket and gloves.

The suspect entered the gas station at 482 Patchogue Yaphank Rdoad on Aug. 11 at 3:52 p.m., displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash. The clerk removed cash from the drawer and gave it to the suspect, who then fled on the dark green ATV with light-colored rims.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
