Rally Set For Wed. To Show Support For Keeping Kids In School

Local parents organized the event after the South Country Central School District voted to continue to allow in-person school learning.

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — Local parents are hosting a rally in East Patchogue on Wednesday night to show their support for keeping kids in school for in-person learning. The event will be held at the South Country School central office on Dunton Avenue starting at 5:30 p.m.

According to the Facebook event, the rally is being held to show the local Board of Education that the parents support their decision.

"We made our voices heard before and they listened. Now we need everyone to show up and stand with the rest of the community and let them know that we support their decision," the event organizers wrote.
