"Steady Eddie" Kranepool Visits Bayport-Blue Point Library

"Miracle Mets" All-Star Recounts his 18-Year Career

New York Mets All-Star Ed Kranepool (right) recounted his eighteen-year career as a member of the Mets on Thursday, October 10, 2019, to a packed house at the Bayport-Blue Point Library.

Kranepool was an integral part of the 1969 “Miracle Mets” World Series championship team where he earned the nickname “Steady Eddie.” The program was co-sponsored by the Johnny Mac Foundation. Ronald Devine, Jr., the library board president (left), served as moderator.
