Suffolk’s Summer Drive-In Movie Series Kicks Off At Smith Point
Screenings will include "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark," "The Goonies," and "Rocky," to name a few. Check out the lineup.
SHIRLEY, NY — Suffolk County’s Drive-in Movie Series kicks off Wednesday with a screening of “Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Ark” at Smith Point County Park in Shirley.
The free series will run on Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday’s performance will be followed up on Thursday with a showing of the black and white classic, “Sabrina,” starring Audrey Hepburn in the title role.
Other screenings will include fan-favorite 80s hits like “Labyrinth,” “Back to the Future,” “The Neverending Story,” “The Goonies,” and “Hoosiers.” Other screenings will include “Clueless,” “Elf,” “The Wizard of Oz,” and “Rocky,” to name a few.

The gates open at 7 p.m., and the screenings start at 8 p.m. The parking lot closes at 8:10 p.m.
The movie series is made possible through the county’s partnership with the Reclaim Our Water initiative, the state Department of Environmental Conservation, the Long Island Nitrogen Action Plan, and the Plaza Cinema and Media Arts Center in Patchogue.
