Teacher Of The Week: Mr. Jason Smiloff

PATCHOGUE-MEDFORD, NY — Everybody has a favorite teacher — maybe it's a teacher who went out of their way to make one student's day or a teacher who brightens up a classroom, whether virtually or in-person, every day.

One teacher who deserves a shout-out is Mr. Jason Smiloff, a teacher at Patchogue-Medford High School. He was nominated by Michael Evans.

Here's what Evans had to say about Mr. Smiloff:

He has an amazing rapport with the kids in his programs, and exposes them to opportunities for success that go beyond the classroom. He helps them not only learn business, employment, and entrepreneurial skills, but fosters relationships within the community that allow his students to gain valuable experience, mentorship, and jobs. The kids we have met through his program have reminded me that tomorrow’s world is in the best of hands. Mr. Smiloff is definitely a positive force in the kids’ educational experience.
