What's Open, Closed In Patchogue On Fourth Of July

Check out what's open and closed before heading out during the holiday weekend.

PATCHOGUE, NY — Independence Day will be a little different this year as the country continues to deal with the coronavirus pandemic. Cancelling large events is the new norm, but one thing locals can count on is a scheduled holiday.

So before heading out during the holiday, check out what's open and closed on Independence Day:

  • Suffolk County Offices - Closed.
  • Libraries - Closed.
  • Grocery stores - Trader Joe's announced it will close all stores on Saturday. Other stores are open at owner's discretion.
  • Liquor stores - Stores open at owner's discretion.
  • Convenience stores - Open.
  • Banks - Closed.
  • Garbage/Recycling Pickup - Normal schedule.
  • Village offices and courts - Closed.
  • MTA schedule - The Long Island Rail Road will run on the current Saturday schedules for July 4. Off-peak fares remain in effect for both railroads and cash transactions will not be accepted onboard trains.
