Car Accident On Clague Road Results In Impaired Driving Charges
A 28-year-old woman faces charges for impaired driving after rear-ending a car on Monday, Westlake police announced.
WESTLAKE, OH — A drunken driver slammed into the back of another car in Westlake on Monday afternoon, police said.
At 4:45 p.m., 911 callers reported a car crash on Clague Road, near Horseshoe Boulevard.
When officers arrived, they determined one car had hit the other from behind. Neither driver was badly hurt, police said.

A 28-year-old Strongsville woman was behind the wheel of the back car. She was stumbling around trying to stand still, police said. She said she had work at 5:30 p.m. and did not want to perform field sobriety tests, police added.
The woman was taken into custody and moved to Westlake Jail.

She refused to take a breath test and was cited for operating a vehicle impaired. She had limited driving privileges due to a previous arrest for impaired driving in Bedford, police noted.
