Car Crashes Into Taco Bell Sign In Westlake

The accident left the vehicle standing upright, leaning against the sign.

WESTLAKE, OH — A car crashed into the Taco Bell sign on Columbia Road last week.

At 7:45 a.m., callers reported a car crash outside of the Taco Bell on Columbia. When officers arrived, they found a silver four-door vehicle standing bolt upright, resting against the sign. The grill of the car was on the ground and the back tires were in the air.

The driver, a 58-year-old man, was taken to St. John Medical Center by EMS. A police spokesperson said the driver suffered "minor injuries."

"Impairment is suspected to be a contributing factor to the collision," police said.

The driver has been charged with operating a vehicle impaired, a Westlake police spokesperson added.
