Clague Memorial Fields Open This Weekend In Westlake

Opening Day weekend will feature ceremonial first pitches, a barbershop quartet and a Kona Ice Truck.

WESTLAKE, OH — The newly-minted Clague Memorial Fields will be unveiled Saturday morning.

The city of Westlake and the Westlake Baseball League will hold a joint ribbon-cutting and grand opening at the fields at 9 a.m. Mayor Dennis Clough will throw out the first pitch prior to one of four ballgames scheduled to take place at the fields.

Local officials will toss the first pitch for three other games scheduled for the day. A barbershop quartet will sing the National Anthem and a Kona Ice Truck will be on hand to serve sweet treats to attendees.

Clague Memorial Fields are located behind the historic Clague Playhouse, 1371 Clague Road.

Opening Day weekend for Clague Memorial Fields will occur Friday and Saturday. Older youth baseball games will take place Friday night, with T-ball and Rookie level players getting the fields on Saturday.
