Digital Reputation Seminar In Westlake Delayed
Westlake police were planning on hosting a seminar on protecting and preserving your reputation online.
WESTLAKE, OH — A two-part series on protecting and preserving your online reputation has been postponed indefinitely, Westlake police said. The seminar was originally scheduled to start on Wednesday and continue until Thursday.
The seminar series was open to students in 6th to 8th grade. The event was open to all students, but priority was given to Westlake Schools students, and Westlake students who attend private schools, according to a police spokesperson.
"Our instructors will be talking about how the digital environment is affecting youth and why they should care about how they present themselves on social media and other platforms," Captain Gerald Vogel of Westlake police told Patch.
