Drunken Driver Parks In Front Yard In Westlake
Police said a driver failed to navigate a curve and stopped his car on someone's front yard.
WESTLAKE, OH — A car drove into a Westlake home's front yard on Saturday morning, police announced.
At 2:10 a.m., a 911 caller reported hearing a car crash at the dead end of Hilliard Boulevard, near Lincoln. Officers investigated and discovered a car failed to navigate the curve and landed in someone's front yard, police said.
The driver, a 23-year-old Westlake man, appeared to be intoxicated but told police he had not been drinking. Instead, he told officers, he had experienced car problems leading to the accident.

Police field tested the 23-year-old and then took him into custody on suspicion of operating a vehicle impaired and failure to control his car. At Westlake Jail he was given a breath test and was two times over the legal blood-alcohol limit, police said.
