Hospice Volunteer Education Series

Be the difference! Be a volunteer

HMC Hospice of Medina County, a Hospice of the Western Reserve affiliate, is seeking volunteers to assist in private residences, nursing homes, assisted living communities, our Medina Inpatient Unit, and hospital settings. As a vital part of Hospice of the Western Reserve’s team, volunteers come from all walks of life and have a variety of skills, talents and abilities. Opportunities to serve are diverse: companionship in Private Home and Nursing Home Settings, Certified Pet Therapists, Licensed Cosmetologists & Barbers, Attorneys, and Veterans Visiting Veterans.

The next series of volunteer classes starts on September 7, 2019 at 9:00 a.m., at Hospice of Medina County. Pre-registration is required. For more information, or to register, call the volunteer team at 216.255.9090. It is required to wait 12 months after experiencing a significant loss before volunteering directly with patients.
