Kindness Run Returns To Westlake October 4

The Kindness Run and Walk will be held at Lee Burneson Middle School on Friday, October 4.

WESTLAKE, OH — The second annual Kindness Run/Walk will be held at Lee Burneson Middle School on October 4. The event promotes kindness on a daily basis and encourages mental health.

The run and walk route is approximately 1.5 miles, all on streets surrounding the school. Families and neighbors will line the route and offer encouragement to participants during the event, a Westlake schools official said.

The race is coordinated by Burneson+, a student-led group that promotes positivity in the community. Lee Burneson staff and students will take part in the race.

After the runners and walkers finish their routes, there will be a post-race party with the Ice Cream Wagon from Prayers from Maria Childhood Cancer Foundation.

There will be a pre-race run and party with music, starting at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, October 4, and continuing until 9 a.m. Runners will start their race at 9 a.m. and walkers will begin two minutes later, at 9:02 a.m.

From 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., the post-race party with the Ice Cream Wagon will take place.
