Labor Day 2017: What's Closed In Westlake

Trash collection will be delayed by one day. What other services might be shut down for the holiday? Find out.

WESTLAKE, OH — Labor Day is Monday. That means a number of public government buildings and services will be shut down for the day.

All city offices in Westlake will be closed in observance of the holiday. The Westlake Recreation Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Meadowood Golf Course will be open from 7 a.m. till dusk.

Trash collection will be delayed by one day throughout the city. That means folks whose trash is usually collected on Monday, will instead have their refuse grabbed on Tuesday. Westlake Porter Library will be closed Sept. 3 and Sept. 4 for the holiday. Westlake City Schools will also be closed that Monday.
