SUV Flips Over, Hits Utility Pole In Westlake: Police
The driver was flown to MetroHealth with life-threatening injuries, police said.

WESTLAKE, OH — An SUV rolled over and hit a utility pole on Schwartz Road on Friday, Westlake police announced.
The vehicle flipped over between Crocker and Excalibur roads. When the SUV hit the utility pole, it brought down electrical wires. The SUV then hit a tree, police said.
Westlake firefighters had to extricate the driver from the SUV. He was then flown via helicopter to MetroHealth Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Part of Schwartz Road was closed for 12 hours while police investigated the crash and utility company workers dealt with the downed power lines.
