Thieves Stealing From Unlocked Cars In Westlake, Western Suburbs
Multiple suburbs have reported seeing an uptick in thefts from unlocked cars in recent weeks.
WESTLAKE, OH — Multiple cars have been rifled through and two cars have been stolen from Westlake homes in recent weeks.
Police said there was a common thread linking the targeted vehicles: they were all left unlocked. In some cases, the keys to car were left inside the vehicle.
Similar thefts have been occurring in other western suburbs. Avon police issued a warning on Wednesday, saying multiple unlocked cars have been targeted in recent weeks.
