Week 9 High School Football Rankings: Where is Westlake?

The Ohio High School Athletic Association ranks the top 12 teams in each division and each region across the state.

WESTLAKE, OH - The Westlake Demons obliterated North Ridgeville's defense on Friday, hanging 52 points for the win. That victory didn't move the Demons up in the polls, but in a week when many of the top teams in the region seem to have taken a tumble, holding steady isn't a bad thing. The Demons will be back in action Oct. 21 against Amherst Steele.

The Avon Eagles, who have held the top spot in the rankings almost since Week 1, have found a worthy challenger to the throne in Holland Springfield. Both teams are still undefeated past the midpoint of the season. Olmsted Falls also jumped up a spot, entering the top five. Outside of the top five teams, Toledo Waite fell out of the rankings and was replaced by Cleveland's John F. Kennedy high school.

The weekly computer ratings are released every Tuesday afternoon beginning after the fourth week of the season, leading up to the final report on Sunday morning, Oct. 30. The top 12 teams in Division II, Region 6 are below:
