Westlake Academic Challenge Team Goes Undefeated

WESTLAKE, OH — An Academic Challenge team from Lee Burneson Middle School went undefeated at a recent tournament in Copley. A second squad from Westlake went 3-4 at the same tournament.

At the Dec. 14 Academic Challenge tournament at Copley Middle School, Lee Burneson team one went 7-0 in their bracket, beating Edgewood, Green, Black River, Monticello, Revere, Copley and Strong Vincent.

The undefeated team is composed of Nick Lamorgese, Mark Sferra, Ben Miller and Manya Tandon. The second squad includes Jackson Long, Luke Sferra, Ryan Williamson and Alex Niceman.
