WESTLAKE, OH — The Westlake Aquatic Center & Peterson Pool officially opened on Saturday.

Mayor Dennis Clough helped open the pool for the season, taking time to "test" the water slides. He raced his grandson, Danny, down the slide. The mayor won the race and the facility was officially opened for the season.

It was the second grand opening of the weekend for Clough, who also cut the ribbon at Clague Memorial Field. Clough and other municipal officials threw out ceremonial first pitches for the games.
