Westlake Boys Soccer Lands In Top 10 In State Poll

The Demons are currently ranked 8 in Ohio for Division I soccer.

WESTLAKE, OH — For the first time in 2017, the Westlake Demons boys soccer team is ranked in the top 10 in the state by the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association (OSSCA). While the team received some votes in the Sept. 4 poll, it didn't crack the top 10.

What a difference a week makes. The Demons are now 8th in Division I in the state according to the Sept. 11 poll.

The top teams in the state have remained fairly steady since the first poll of the season. Olentangy Liberty, St. Ignatius and Beavercreek were all in the Sept. 4 poll and appear again in the Sept. 11 poll.

  4. Beavercreek
  5. Coffman

The Demons will again take the field on Sept. 13 against Avon Lake. The game will be held at home, at 2240 Dover Center Rd. at 7 p.m.
