Westlake Hall Of Fame Class Of 2017 To Be Inducted Sept. 28

WESTLAKE, OH — The Westlake Hall of Fame will induct the class of 2017 on Sept. 28. An induction ceremony and dinner will be held at Wagner's of Westlake at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $40 per person.

This year's inductees are Tom Beres, class of 1968 — Distinguished, Karen Swanson Haan, class of 1999 — Athletic, George Christ and Ken Krepop — Honorary, and the Dean Family — Lifetime Achievement Award. The event is organized by the Dover/Westlake Alumni Association.

The event will start with socializing and a cash bar. Dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. Checks can be made out to the Westlake Alumni Association and should be sent to Marybeth Schneidler, 30910 Park Ave., Westlake, by Sept. 22.

Attendees should include their name, email address, phone number, and number of guests attending. Then on Sept. 29, the Alumni Association and the Westlake Demon Athletic Boosters will hold a tailgate party from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at UH St. John Stadium at Westlake High. Attendees will be encouraged to stick around for the homecoming parade and football game.
