Westlake Honors Senior Transportation Team For COVID-19 Work
The 10-driver team has helped Westlake seniors get safely to medical appointments, delivered food and made social phone calls.

WESTLAKE, OH — Mayor Dennis Clough recognized Westlake's Senior and Community Services Department's transportation team this month.
Drivers on the team have been providing "steadfast, reliable" service throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The 10-driver team offers rides to senior residents, getting them to essential meetings like medical appointments or helping them get groceries and medications.
Clough noted that the team works hard to keep the rides safe and sanitary during the COVID-19 pandemic. Drivers also make conversation with the seniors, helping them feel connected and combating social isolation.
