Westlake Schools Get 'A' On State Report Card
The Westlake City Schools are again among the high performing districts in Ohio.
WESTLAKE, OH — The controversial state report cards grading each school system in the state were released Thursday. The Westlake City Schools receive an overall grade of "A."
Districts are graded on six components and on student performance on state assessments administered to students in grades 3-12.
"We’re proud of our students, staff and community. This is just one measure we use to annually reflect on our performance. We will continue to work toward our mission of striving for excellence in education for all students," said Westlake Superintendent Scott Goggin.

State officials said performances on the report cards improved statewide.
"This year's report cards show continuous improvement is ongoing and that, across Ohio, we are getting better and better at challenging, preparing and empowering each child," said Paolo DeMaria, superintendent of public instruction
