Amazon Books Opening in Washington Square This Fall
The online giant has chosen Tigard for its third brick and mortar store.
Amazon.com has chosen Washington Square Mall for its third brick and mortar store, following Seattle and the University of California-San Diego, which plans to open this summer.
The store, which is expected to open this fall, will be the first new bookstore in the area since Barnes and Noble moved from near Washington Square to Bridgeport Village.
The news of the store was first reported by Fortune.com.

“We are excited to be bringing Amazon Books to Washington Square, and we are currently hiring store managers and associates. Stay tuned for additional details down the road," the magazine quotes the company as having said in a statement.

The store will be located between Bath & Body Works and Michael Kors.
The company has already posted several job openings on its website.
