Armed Bicyclist Shot Near Jesuit High In Beaverton
A Beaverton police officer shot a knife-wielding man riding a bike near Jesuit High School Friday morning. No officers were hurt.

BEAVERTON, OR — A knife-wielding man riding a bike near Jesuit High School Friday morning was shot and wounded by a Beaverton police officer, department officials said on Twitter. The man was breathing when he was taken to hospital, but his current condition is unknown.
Beaverton police were reportedly dispatched to the area around Southwest 93rd Avenue and Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway after witnesses reported seeing a man with a knife riding a bike near the school around 8:30 a.m. Sept. 7.
After confronting the man, at least one officer reportedly opened fire. The extent of the unidentified man's injuries are unknown.

Police announced the shooting via Twitter just before 9:30 a.m.

We are currently working an Officer Involved Shooting near SW 93rd and SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway, near Jesuit High School. Traffic in the area will be affected for some time. All officers are ok. The suspect was transported to a local hospital.
