Beaverton Energy Company Gets Federal Grant
eWind Solutions is working to develop an airborne wind technology.
A Beaverton company that's looking to change the way energy is generated received a $600,000 grant from the federal government to help with their work. eWind Solutions is developing an airborne wind energy system.
The grant, which comes from the Small Farms Division of the United States Department of Agriculture, will help the company develop a device they call the wing, which is kind of like a wind turbine but one that is airborne.
The money will also allow the company to allow employees to work on the ground station and autonomous launch and landing.
