Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, visit a German holiday market and see the tree lighting in Beaverton this December.

BEAVERTON, OR — There are more than a few ways to get in the holiday spirit in Beaverton this year. The city is hosting a German Holiday Market that will bring the traditions of a European winter to town. Want to sing along as you get in the holiday spirit? Check out the Mormon Church's festival of carols. And you definitely don't want to miss the City of Beaverton Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday. Check out the full list of Beaverton holiday events below.
- The German International School's German Holiday Market is happening on Friday, Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. - 9 .m. at the City Park parking lot. Stop by to taste German food, enjoy the crafts and hear live music. There will also be wine and beer tasting. Over 20 vendors will be on site include Edelweiss Sausage and Deli and Fressen Artisan Bakery. The music performances will be headlined by 3 Leg Torso.
- Beaverton's Holiday Open House is a great opportunity to meet all of your favorite holiday people in Beaverton. Make sure to arrive early to see Santa and Mrs. Claus. Lines close at 6:30 p.m. You can also your picture take with Disney princesses and Star Wars characters. There will be festival music by the Beaverton Staff Choir and the Beaverton Community Band, plus holiday games and more arts and crafts. Check out Beaverton City's Facebook page for more updates.

- Immediately following the tree lighting is another great show. The Beaverton Civic Theater presents "Sorry! Wrong Chimney!" at the Beaverton Library Auditorium. But don't worry if you miss the first show -- it's running through December 17.

- Also starting on Dec. 2 is the Mormon Church's Festival of Nativities and Carols at their church on 99th Ave. There will be hundreds of nativities displayed on the ground and live holiday music from local choirs and musicians. The Nativities and Carols event will also take place on Dec. 3 and 4.
