Beaverton PD Say They Arrested Man Who Attacked Girl In Her Home

Police say that in July, Robert Jackson broke into a home on SW 6th Street by crawling through window into the bedroom of a young girl.

BEAVERTON, OR – Take a good look at the man in the picture. Beaverton Police say that he is 20-year-old Robert Wade Jackson and he is charged with crawling through the bedroom window of a 10-year-old girl and attacking her.

Police say that they want to find people who had "any suspicious contact" with Jackson while he lived at the Stone Creek Apartments on Southwest Murray Boulevard.

Jackson was indicted earlier this week on 17 counts related to the July 29, 2018 attack on the girl.

Officials say that Jackson used a Leatherman tool to cut her throat, missing her artery and, ultimately, not causing any life-threatening injuries.

She was able to break away and alert her family.

While Jackson fled, he left the Leatherman behind and officials say that they were able to use DNA recovered from the Leatherman to identify him.

They were able to arrest him on Tuesday in Auburn, WA.
