Beaverton Unveils "Hello Neighbor" Celebrating Photography

City introduces new arts program

"Hello Neighbor" - a project created by Julia Keefe, Portland's first creative laureate to "start a conversation between neighbors" - has been at work in Beaverton and the results are on display around the city through the end of June.

With a grant from the Nike Community Impact Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation, photojournalism students at Merlo Station High School worked to use photography to better understand each other and people in the community.

And now you can see the results of what they learned.
