Beaverton Wants People Who See Beauty in Garbage... At Least Garbage Containers

City looking to add "an artistic element to trash receptacles throughout the city."

Beaverton believes that you don't have to be Oscar the Grouch to see beauty in a trash can.

The city is asking artists to submit images for the "2016 Beautify Beaverton Creator Container" project.

The winning images will be printed on a high-quality, adhesive vinyl material and placed on more team 40 trash cans around the city.
