Body of Beaverton Man Recovered from Lava Canyon

The body of a Beaverton man who was swept over the falls at Lava Canyon in Washington was recovered Monday afternoon.
Twenty-six-year-old James Fowler had been trying to cross the Muddy River on Sunday when he slipped on a rock and got swept by the current over the falls and into the canyon.

Searchers from the Volcano Rescue Team and the Skamania County Sheriff's Office found Fowler's body around 12:30 Monday afternoon.
Fowler's body was turned over the to office of the Clark County Medical Examiner.
