Missing Beaverton Boy Found Safe: Police

Erik Derby, 11, has been returned safely to his family, according to Beaverton police.

BEAVERTON, OR — An 11-year-old boy who went missing Sunday night in Beaverton was found first thing Monday morning, according to Beaverton police. Erik Derby reportedly snuck into a friend's house during the night. He has since been returned to his family.

According to Beaverton police, Derby was last seen at Fir Grove Elementary School around 8:30 p.m. Sept. 9. The school is located at 6300 S.W. Wilson Ave., near the Hyland Hills shopping area. However, Fir Grove is not the school Derby attends.

Police reported Derby found just before 9 a.m. Sept. 10.
