Dog Dead, Cat Missing After House Fire In Beaverton
The house fire near downtown Monday afternoon also displaced three adult residents, though no serious injuries were reported.

BEAVERTON, OR — A household cat is still missing following a one-alarm residential fire near downtown Beaverton Monday afternoon that also displaced three adult residents and killed a dog, according to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue officials.
The fire broke out at a home in the 5000-block of Southwest Lombard Avenue, near Southwest Seventh Street, around 3:30 p.m. Oct. 29. Multiple 911 callers reported their neighbor's home was burning, urging TVF&R authorities to upgrade the blaze to a one-alarm incident and bring in additional firefighters.
When firefighters arrived at the two-story home just five minutes after the first 911 call, they reportedly found the basement and first level fully engulfed. Adding to the challenge for firefighters, the home was also occupied by "excessive amounts of personal belongings," TVF&R officials said.
