  1. The heat made commuting more difficult as TriMet suspended MAX service through Monday. The transit organization noted that heat damaged essential power cables, with a large hole burned into one. MAX is designed to operate in temperatures up to 110. (KATU)
  2. Peter Wong reports on how Metro officials are divvying up federal relief money from the American Rescue Plan. Beaverton's top recipients include $1.5 million to Home Plate Youth Services for a drop-in center, $4 million to Just Compassion of East Washington County for staffing an emergency shelter and just over $2.5 million to the city for a homeless shelter and mental health court.
