Police Say Beaverton Drivers Still Driving Under The Influence

Beaverton police officers arrested 28 drivers in November for driving under the influence. Of those, 10 were busteted after crashing cars.

BEAVERTON, OR – It's not like the law about don't drive while under the influence is something new that people need time so they can get used to it. Yet, in November, Beaverton Police Officers arrested 28 drivers for doing just that.

Police say that in 10 of those 28 instances, the arrest came after the driver had crashed a car. They add that 13 times the drivers were found by people who called 911.

Officials add that 24 of those arrested agreed to take breath tests. The 24 people had an average blood alcohol level of .12 percent.

Beaverton Police say the numbers just underscore the fact that people need to find designated drivers, take mass transit. They need to just not drive under the influence.
