Here are the top five stories in Beaverton today:
- Hillsboro Police say a man was injured in a shooting outside Ross Dress for Less at Tanasbourne Town Center Saturday evening. Investigators categorize the event as isolated and said there is no danger to the public. They have not identified a suspect. (KPTV)
- Beaverton's new West End District welcomed its first residents. The site of the former K-Mart at SW Murray and TV Highway now offers 424 residential units and over 30,000 square feet of ground-level space for businesses. (Beaverton Valley Times)
- You don't have to look far to say congrats to some of the state's top students. Betsy Hammond reports that half the Portland area's National Merit Scholarship winners come from just two BSD schools. Westview and Sunset High were home to 11 of the region's 22 winners, with a total of 26 recipients statewide. (OregonLive)
