Here are the top five stories in Beaverton today:
- The monitoring service AllQuakes reports that a small, unconfirmed earthquake occurred just east of Beaverton around 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning. The magnitude is still unknown. (VolcanoDiscovery)
- Will more of TV Highway be getting sidewalks? It will if the U.S. Rep. Suzanne Bonamici— a Democrat who represents all of Washington County— has anything to say about it. The Oregon politician is seeking funding for upgrades to TV Highway from the bipartisan Surface Transportation Reauthorization Act. (Beaverton Valley Times)
- State of Oregon House Speaker Tina Kotek, D-Portland, announced the consequences facing State Rep. Brad Witt, D-Clatskanie, on Monday. Witt's district includes parts of Washington County. In addition to "coaching and training appropriate for his conduct violation," Witt is officially removed as chair of the House Agricultural and Natural Resources Committee. He is also no longer welcome at the House Committee on Water and the House Committee on Business and Labor through the end of his current term. (OregonLive)
- Mountainside High School hosted its first-ever senior prom this past weekend since opening its doors in 2017. The event took place outdoors in accordance with the state's pandemic-related restrictions. Students celebrated the opportunity to see friends following nearly a year and a half of remote learning. - A new place to enjoy regional beers is coming to the Beaverton area. Lake Oswego's Stickmen Brewery is expanding to two Portland-metro locations, including Cedar Mill. Stickmen anticipates the new venue will be open around April 2022. (Daily Journal of Commerce)

- Virtual Family Storytime— Aloha Community Library hosts an online chance to read, sing, dance and play for kids, toddlers and preschoolers. (10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.)
- Singer Songwriter Night— At The Garages Satellite Pub hosts musicians performing their original compositions. (7 p.m. to 11 p.m.)
