Woman Hit and Killed While Crossing Busy Boulevard in Beaverton

An elderly woman was struck and killed while crossing a busy road in Beaverton Thursday evening, police say.

BEAVERTON, OR - An elderly woman was struck and killed while crossing a busy road in Beaverton Thursday evening, according to officials.

The collision occurred a little after 5 p.m. on Southwest Allen Boulevard and the woman was not using a crosswalk, police said.

The woman, who was 75-years old, was conscious when taken away from the scene but later died at a nearby hospital, authorities said.

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. Mike Rowe with the Beaverton Police Department told KGW News no charges will be filed in connection with the collision.
