Big fan of beer in Portland? Make sure to follow these five Twitter accounts.

PORTLAND, OR — Twitter is a great source for news, but it's also an excellent place to learn more about your favorite PDX breweries. We've combed through our Portland Patch Twitter feed to find the brewery accounts you should be following.
Breakside Brewery (@breaksidebrews)
Breakside Brewery is one of the most popular Portland breweries on Twitter. They were also quite popular at the recent Great American Beer Festival where three Breakside beers won gold, silver and bronze in different categories. Congrats to Breakside!

BREWVANA gives tours to all of the great breweries throughout Portland. So far in 2016, they’ve visited 39 breweries, given 217 tours and met 1,705 beer drinkers in the area. You can set up a public or private tour and they provide bus and walking tours seven days a week. Their Twitter account is full of great photos from trips to breweries throughout the region.

Cascade Brewing specializes in sour ales and they share a lot of great photos of their brews on Twitter. They also attend a number of beer festivals around the world, which is great for letting people in other countries know about the thriving breweries in Portland.

Widmer Brothers (@WidmerBrothers)
Widmer Brothers is coming off an excellent showing at the Great American Beer Festival, where they won the silver prize for their Drop Top Amber Ale. They have a lot of great photos of beer on their Twitter account and regularly update it with events from around Portland and beyond.
