Cully Neighborhood House Fire Kills 1, Injures 1
Portland Fire & Rescue said that a fire quickly burned through a one-story home on Northeast 57th Avenue.

PORTLAND, OR — One person is dead and another injured after a fire burned through their house in the Cully neighborhood Wednesday morning, according to Portland Fire & Rescue.
Officials offered no details on the person who was found dead inside a house in the 4700 block of Northeast 57th Avenue.
The second person, who was also not identified, had made it outside and was rushed to a hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, according to officials. The person's condition was not known.

Officials got a report about the fire about 3:40 a.m. Crews arrived at the one-story home and found that flames had spread through the house, Portland Fire said.
Responders found the injured person, who said that one other person was still inside the house.

Crews worked to knock down the fire, searched the house and found the body of the other person, according to Portland Fire.
Investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire.
