Alameda Brewhouse Closing Its Doors Nov. 3 After 22 Years
The Brewhouse, a mainstay on Fremont that was one of the city's original brewpubs, is going out of business

PORTLAND, OR – It's a sad day for craft beer in Portland. The Alameda Brewhouse, one of the city's original brewpubs, is closing its doors in November after 22 years on Fremont.
They have not announced a reason for the closure, saying only that they are going out of business and nearly two dozen people will lose their jobs.
The Brewhouse's last day will be Nov. 3.

When it opened in 1996, it was one of the city's first brewpubs, eventually growing into Alameda Brewing, which operates a 20-barrel facility in Southeast. That facility only opened in 2015 – expanding on the original 5-barrel production at the Brewhouse – and allowed the company to expand their reach.

They reported a 70 percent increase in sales in 2015 over the year before.
A closing date has yet to be set for the larger facility.
