Ankeny Alley Shooter Description Released By Portland Police

Portland Police say that they have been able to develop a basic description of the man who shot two others in Ankeny Alley on Thursday.

PORTLAND, OR – A basic description of the man believed to have shot two others by Ankeny Alley Thursday has been released by Portland Police. They say that the gunman appeared to be between 18 and 21-years-old, between 5'5" and 5'9" with a thin build, and wearing dark clothing and a backpack.

Police say that around 2:30 on Thursday afternoon, he shot two people by .the 200 block of Southwest Broadway.

The two men were rushed to the hospital and are expected to survive.

Detectives are looking into a disturbance about a block away just before the shooting, trying to determine if the incidents are connected.

They say that the gunman fled south on foot after the shooting, which led to streets being closed for several hours.

Officers arrived and quickly located the two people who'd been shot. They were rushed to the hospital and are expected to recover.
