Eagle Creek Exit On EB I84 Closes Temporarily After Landslide

Around 50 yards of debris slid onto 84 by Exit 41, forcing closure of the off-ramp. It happened in the area of 2017's Eagle Creek Fire.

PORTLAND, OR – A landslide early Wednesday morning forced the closure of an exit off of eastbound I84. Approximately 50 cubic yards of debris slid on to the roadway.

The slide forced the Oregon Department of Transportation to shut down Exit 41.

It blocked access to a parking lot and picnic area. The exit also takes drivers to the Eagle Creek fish hatchery and the Eagle Creek trailhead.
