Earthquake Off The Oregon Coast, USGS Says It Was A 4.5 Magnitude

The 4.5 earthquake happened Saturday evening about 286 miles west of Yachats.

PORTLAND, OR – At least two people felt the earth move under their feet. There was a 4.5 earthquake off the Oregon Coast on Saturday evening.

The United States Geological Survey says that it happened around 7:40 p.m..

The quake was located about 286.5 miles of Yachats in the Pacific Ocean.

Two people did report to the USGS that they felt the quake.
