Extras Needed For Hulu Series 'Shrill' Filming In Portland
The 6-episode Hulu series, based on the bestselling memoir "Shrill: Notes From a Loud Woman," by Lindy West, will need extras and stand-ins.

PORTLAND, OR — Looking for acting work in Portland? The producers for Hulu's newly-acquired series "Shrill," which is set to begin filming around the metro area this week, are hiring paid extras and stand-ins for the show through September.
Based on the New York Times' 2016 bestselling memoir Shrill: Notes From a Loud Woman, by Lindy West, "Shrill" the show will feature "Saturday Night Live" favorite Aidy Bryant as Annie, a struggling journalist who — according to The Hollywood Reporter — juggles "bad boyfriends, sick parents and a perfectionist boss" while also facing constant criticisms about her weight.
The six-episode series is being executive produced by SNL creator and longtime producer Lorne Michaels and "Hunger Games" veteran Elizabeth Banks.
